PARTICULARS of the Office now vacant at the Gaol in the Colony of Hongkong.
1. To act as Turnkey, with equal duties of office, and qualifications & privileges required for their performance.
2. Salary and emoluments, - Seven hundred and twenty dollars as salary. Two suits of Uniform - Quarter, fuel and light provided, for in Annual Estimate above Victoria Gaol. Qualifications - externess, steadiness, quiet temper, and fair general education as the Head Turnkey.
3. Other circumstances affecting the value of the office.
4. Nature, number, and amount of securities required, and mode of giving them.
5. Whether any, and if any, what provision is made from public funds for the passage from this country, or elsewhere, of the person sent out to fill the office. Free passage is provided.
